Develop, execute and analyze a market study about research needs and habits in a particular field (food science, engineering, etc.).
Conduct research interviews with college librarians, faculty and students Synthesize findings into a market study report Once findings are synthesized, review existing marketing literature (PowerPoint, emails, videos, etc.) about a product or product family: Write email copy Write social media copy Draft PowerPoint
1-2 years with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook) Knowledge of marketing fundamentals
Basic understanding of survey design (sample size, question structure, etc.) and survey analysis (synthesizing and interpreting data) Knowledge of social media
Strong communication and presentation skills Ability to synthesize information into defendable conclusions Excellent attention to detail
