LIBRARIAN I – City of Santa Monica, CA. Salary: $ 66,396 - $ 81,972/yr. Job Summary: Provides professional library services for library customers. Participates in one or more of the following areas: reference, referral and reader's advisory services, youth services, programming, collection development, acquisitions and invoicing; cataloging, materials circulation, information technology or coordinating a specialized service or program. NOTE: The eligibility list established for this recruitment will be used to fill Librarian I permanent full-time (40 hours per week); Librarian I permanent part-time (20 hours per week); and Librarian I (As-Needed) (without benefits) positions. (Bilingual skills may be required). NOTE: Permanent, part-time employees will have the option of electing from one of the City-provided HMO medical insurance plans for the employee coverage only in addition to pro-rated sick leave, vacation and holiday time.
