Nashville Public Library (NPL) system consists of one Main Library and twenty branch libraries plus the Metro Nashville Archives.  NPL also provides services for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing as well as the visually impaired.  Currently NPL has 306 employees and the FY13 operating budget is $21,415,700 (excludes approx. $3 million annual funds for library materials).  FY12 circulation was 4,340,657, visits were 3,938,659.  NPL uses Innovative Interfaces automated library system.
