Library Assistant 3 Ferris State University.
Working under the general direction of the Assistant Dean for Collections and Access Services, performs a combination of routine and non-routine library duties of moderate complexity requiring mid-level knowledge and judgment within pre-defined limits.
Primary responsibilities involve cataloging, acquisitions, and web services support.
May hire, train, and supervise student employees.
May participate in training lower-classified clerical-technical employees.
May be cross-trained with other clerical-technical employee(s) to meet the needs of the Library.
Primarily assigned to Collections and Access Services Team, but may perform cross-functional duties or be assigned to cross-functional work teams.
Required: Associate degree from an accredited academic institution or equivalent.
Two years of clerical work experience in an office or library setting.
Experience using technical services staff functions of a library management system.
