Tech III, Agriculture Wiregrass Research & Extension Center This position is located in Headland, Alabama Essential functions include, but are not limited to the following: perform routine measurements and analysis on research projects including data collection and entry using electronic spreadsheet, sampling and fertilizing plots. Perform various task including measure and flag research plots, sort, organize and assist in planting and harvesting variety test plots, maintain calendar, mix and assist in spraying peanut leafspot trials, and perform other duties as assigned by supervisor. Entry into applicant pool requires a high school diploma or equivalent; four (4) years of farm related experience; and a valid driver's license or the ability to obtain one prior to selection. Employer will consider advanced degrees in lieu of experience. Excellent interpersonal communication skills, demonstrated technical excellence and the ability to work independently and in a team environment are also required as well as a commitment to an inclusive and diverse environment. The candidate selected for the position must meet eligibility requirements for employment in the United States by the start date and continue to work legally for the proposed term of employment.
