Engineering and Physical Sciences Librarian, Assistant Professor
The University of New Hampshire (UNH) Library seeks a dynamic, innovative subject librarian for the position of Engineering and Physical Sciences Librarian. As liaison to the College of Engineering and Physical Sciences (EPS), this position has primary responsibility for the proactive development and delivery of responsive research and instructional support.
As a position that is engaged with a variety of library services, the Engineering and Physical Sciences Librarian should recognize and value the many ways that equity, diversity, and inclusion are essential components of our library and university values and be prepared to use this understanding to inform practices inside and outside of the UNH Library. The successful candidate will have an aptitude for teaching and use of resources relevant to engineering, physical sciences, mathematics, or computer sciences. The candidate will have the ability to work with library colleagues to support scholarly communication initiatives and newly emerging modes of research and collaboration.

The position is a 12-month, tenure-track faculty position with appointment at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor, depending on qualifications. This tenure-track position reports to the Dean of the University Library through the Library Faculty Chair. The incumbent is expected to perform scholarship; actively participate in library, university, and professional engagement or service; and meet other UNH Library criteria for promotion and tenure including holding or obtaining a second advanced degree in a chosen field. Faculty members at UNH are represented by the AAUP through a collective bargaining agreement.
