Job Summary
As a Shop Associate, you will be responsible for the layout, set up, adjustments and operation of various machines and systems to manufacture high quality products. You will work within compliance of company safety, quality requirements, and productivity standards.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Support, foster, promote, and demonstrate Core Values; Whatever it Takes, Open to Change, High Standards, Think Like a Customer.
• Communicate all needs to Shop Senior Associate
• Assess and communicate material shortages to appropriate leadership.
• Prioritize job needs and multitask to meet various job duties.
• Train personnel as needed.
• Actively contribute toward a safe work environment.
• Maintain department 5S requirements.
• Participate in continuous improvement programs.
• Validate order accuracy across all departments.
• Demonstrate problem solving and decision-making ability.
• Participate in continuous improvement projects.
• Interact with co-workers to exchange information about tasks and to coordinate work.
• Interact with Supervisors to receive work instructions.
• Maintain clean work area and perform machine and equipment maintenance as instructed by team leads and management.
• Perform other duties and tasks as assigned.
Required Skills/Experience
• Minimum of 1-3 years experience in a production/manufacturing environment.
• Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
• Ability to safely operate a jig saw.
• Ability to safely operate a miter saw.
• Ability to safely operate a table saw.
• Ability to safely operate a cordless drill.
• Ability to accurately read a tape measure.
• Ability to calculate accurate dimensions.
• Ability to problem solve.
• Above average mathematical understanding.
• Ability to make decisions for acceptance/rejection of product.
• Ability to follow priorities set by Supervisors and sequence tasks within a set framework. Tasks are generally repetitive.
• Ability to interact with co-workers to exchange information about tasks and to coordinate work.
• Ability to interact with Supervisors to receive work instructions.
• Desire & ability to learn continuously on the job.
• Excellent attendance and punctuality.
• Ability to work independently, as well as in a team environment
