Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate CNC mills and lathes to produce high-precision metal components.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and GD&T specifications.
  • Select and install tooling, fixtures, and machine attachments based on job requirements.
  • Adjust machine settings to maintain tight tolerances and quality standards.
  • Perform first article inspections using calipers, micrometers, and other measuring tools.
  • Troubleshoot machining issues, tool wear, and offsets to maintain efficiency.
  • Work with G-code and M-code programming to optimize machine operations.
  • Maintain accurate production and quality control records.
  • Follow safety protocols and best practices in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Proven experience as a CNC Machinist in a manufacturing or heavy equipment environment.
  • Strong knowledge of CNC machine operation, setup, and programming.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, GD&T symbols, and technical specifications.
  • Experience with Fanuc, Haas, or Siemens controls is a plus.
  • Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs and stand for extended periods.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Technical degree or certification in CNC Machining, Precision Manufacturing, or related field.
  • Experience working with large-scale machining and heavy industrial components.
  • Knowledge of CAM software (Mastercam, Esprit, or similar).
