Job Description
As a Mechanical Assembler, you will be responsible for assembling fully customized and highly complex filling solutions and machines, including dual, combined, 3-A machines, and rotary fillers in accordance with engineering specifications. You will also assemble sub-assemblies as needed and follow detailed engineering assembly prints and guidelines to assemble or sub-assemble complex filling solutions and machines using hand and power tools. Additionally, you will torque bolts according to engineering guidelines, inspect finished goods, test and adjust completed machines, notify engineering of Bills of Material errors, create NCRs/ECRs, complete assembly mechanical checkouts, and aid service technicians with FATs and Post FAT requirements. Operating forklifts and scissors lifts as needed, maintaining a clean and organized work area, aiding crating with disassembly of larger machines, and performing other projects as directed by management are also part of this role. Observing all safety rules, applicable regulations, and relevant company standards/guidelines, reporting unsafe conditions and needed repairs to the production supervisor, and performing miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned are crucial responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Assemble fully customized and highly complex filling solutions/machines, including dual, combined, 3-A machines, and rotary fillers in accordance with engineering specifications.
- Assemble sub-assemblies as needed.
- Follow detailed engineering assembly prints/guidelines to assemble/sub assemble complex filling solutions/machines using hand and power tools.
- Torque bolts according to engineering guidelines.
- Inspect finished goods to ensure they meet customer and company requirements.
- Inspect, test, and adjust completed machines to ensure units meet critical specifications/tolerances and customer order requirements.
- Notify Engineering of Bills of Material errors.
- Create NCRs/ECRs to notify Quality and Engineering Departments of any issues.
- Complete assembly mechanical checkouts of machines before release to the Service Department.
- Aid service technicians with FATs and Post FAT requirements.
- Operate forklift and scissors lift as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Aid crating with the disassembly of larger machines.
- Perform other projects as directed by management.

Essential Skills
- 5+ years of mechanical maintenance experience.
- 1+ year of reading assembly prints/guidelines.
- 2+ years of experience utilizing calipers and measuring equipment.
- 2+ years of experience with hand and power tools.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Forklift operation experience is a plus.

Work Environment
This role operates on the 1st shift, Monday to Friday from 7am to 3:30pm in a clean manufacturing environment of custom filling equipment. The dress code is casual, with jeans and steel-toe shoes required. Plain t-shirts or hats are acceptable. The noise level in the work environment is moderate to high, and employees are regularly exposed to dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, and unpleasant odors. Safety equipment such as safety glasses, safety toe work shoes, and hearing protection is required.

This is a Contract position based out of Sturtevant, Wisconsin.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $23.00/hr.
