Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and mechanically inclined Operator to support our high-quality plastic film and sheet manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will assist the Extrusion Technician in setting up and maintaining the production line, ensuring raw materials are loaded, and all end-of-line tasks are functioning efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Extrusion Technician with setting up the production line.
- Ensure raw materials are constantly loaded into the line.
- Prepare the line for running specified jobs and set up designated packaging.
- Follow all required process documentation.
- Unload and pack finished goods from the line.
- Handle materials, including climbing ladders and managing containers weighing up to 35 lbs regularly and up to 50 lbs infrequently.
Essential Skills
- Mechanical aptitude or extrusion experience.
- Ability to read and write English.
- Understanding of safety policies in a manufacturing environment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Previous manufacturing experience.
- Ability to utilize basic measuring devices.
- Extrusion experience is a significant plus.

Work Environment
Work in a state-of-the-art facility with recent additions and ongoing renovations. The environment is up-to-date with modern amenities including a nice cafeteria. Currently, we are adding another extrusion line and moving a line into the new addition. Positions are available for both day and night shifts.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of WALLINGFORD, Connecticut.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
