Early Childhood Special Education Teacher - School Year 2025–2026

Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Early Childhood Special Education Teacher to join our team for the 2025–2026 school year. Under the supervision of the school principal, the teacher will provide specialized instruction and support to meet the diverse needs of young learners in a nurturing and structured environment. This role is instrumental in fostering academic, social, and emotional growth, and in promoting a safe and inclusive classroom culture.
Key Responsibilities:

Deliver instruction to assigned classes at the designated times and locations.

Develop and implement individualized education programs that address students' unique needs, interests, and abilities.

Create a classroom environment that supports active learning and is developmentally appropriate.

Prepare lesson plans and instructional materials, with evidence of planning available upon request.

Establish and maintain clear behavioral expectations in a supportive and respectful manner.

Guide student learning to achieve curriculum goals, using defined objectives for lessons, units, and projects.

Utilize a variety of teaching strategies and resources to engage students with different learning styles.

Promote and reflect the district's educational philosophy and instructional objectives.

Assess student progress regularly and provide required reports and feedback to stakeholders.

Identify and address learning challenges, collaborating with specialists as needed.

Ensure the safety and well-being of students, and maintain the integrity of classroom materials and facilities.

Maintain accurate and compliant student records in accordance with legal and district requirements.

Support school-wide policies and uphold behavioral standards consistently.

Foster open communication with families and be available for educational purposes beyond the classroom when appropriate.

Supervise and collaborate with teacher aides and volunteers, providing clear direction and constructive feedback.

Engage in ongoing professional development to enhance instructional skills and student outcomes.

Participate in staff meetings, school events, and committees as required.

Perform other duties as assigned in support of student success and school operations.
Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in education or a related field

Valid South Carolina teaching certification in Early Childhood Special Education
-
Strong knowledge of early childhood development and best practices in special education
-
SC SPED Teacher license
-
Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills

Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment

Valid South Carolina driver's license
Shift:
Day 5x7.5-Hour (07:00 - 14:30)
Pay:
$45 - $47 per hour
