Job DescriptionJob descriptionA leading Industrial/Mission Critical General Contractor is in search for a Project Manager to work on large-scale Data Center and Mission Critical projects. The Project Manager will be a company representative and will serve as a point of contact both with the client and with the construction team when required. You will engage in and influence the safety culture and have the authority to make decisions on the General Contractor's behalf about such items as cost and schedule.
Project Types: Mission Critical, Data Centers, Semi-Conductor Facilities.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with owners, architects, and company personnel on construction projects throughout the many phases of project development and execution.
- Manage the relationships with the project owner and architect.
- Oversee all Mission Critical MEP scopes of work throughout project aspects.
- Manage an individual project, or multiple projects concurrently, depending on assignment.
- Manage the project schedule, project contract documents, change management, project cost management, project records and documentation, and meetings with project stakeholders (owner, architect, engineer, subcontractors, etc.).
- Work closely with company support departments (e.g. Accounting, HR, Safety, Quality Assurance, etc.) in the execution of project work to maximize success.
- Develop and maintain relationships within the community.
Skills & Qualifications:
- 5+ years of Construction experience in mission-critical (Data Center/Semiconductor), Industrial, and Commercial Construction space.
- Must have experience working in Data Center environments.
- B.S. in Construction Management or Civil Engineering preferred.
- OSHA-30 is a plus but not required.
- Working knowledge of various construction disciplines and safety regulations and how to apply them.
- Strong leadership qualities.
- Effectively communicate with staff, team members, clients, and vendors.
- Must be organized and document all aspects of projects.
- Strong negotiation skills and strong analytical skills.
