Position Parameters
This virtual teaching position typically involves 35-37.5 hours weekly providing specialized instruction, case management, and educational support. You'll work in our innovative virtual platform to help students with diverse learning needs achieve their educational goals.
Student position

• Mixed caseload spanning K-12 (elementary through high school)
• Students requiring:
  • Intensive Support for Intellectual Disabilities
  • Specialized Autism Programming
  • Multi-categorical Support Services
  • Supplemental Academic Intervention
• Typical caseload size of 40-60 students depending on service minutes

Key Responsibilities

• Develop prehensive Individualized Education Programs
• Deliver specialized instruction aligned with IEP goals
• Adapt curriculum materials for diverse learning needs
• Conduct ongoing progress monitoring and assessment
• Facilitate virtual IEP meetings and parent conferences
• Collaborate with general education teachers and related service providers
• Create engaging digital learning materials and activities
• Implement behavior intervention strategies in virtual setting
• Maintain accurate special education documentation and records

Required Qualifications

• Master's degree in Special Education or related field
• Valid Michigan Special Education teaching license
• Minimum of 2 years experience in a school setting
• Proficiency with educational technology and virtual instruction
• Knowledge of evidence-based practices for students with disabilities
• Strong munication skills in virtual environments
• Experience with IEP development and implementation
• Ability to differentiate instruction for various learning needs
