VocoVision is seeking a dedicated School Psychologist to provide virtual services to students in the Detroit area. As a leader in remote special education services, we connect qualified professionals with students requiring specialized support through our innovative virtual platform.
Position Overview
This remote School Psychologist role typically involves 35-37.5 hours per week providing comprehensive psychological services. Working within our cutting-edge virtual environment, you'll support students across multiple settings while maintaining the flexibility of remote work.
Student Population

  • Elementary through High School (K-12)
  • Students requiring psychological evaluations for:
    • Initial special education eligibility
    • Re-evaluations for continuing services
    • Specialized behavioral assessments
  • Typical caseload varies based on evaluation needs and complexity

Core Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive psychological and psychoeducational evaluations
  • Administer cognitive, academic, and behavioral assessments virtually
  • Interpret test results and prepare detailed psychological reports
  • Present findings at eligibility and IEP meetings
  • Consult with teachers and parents regarding student needs
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings
  • Provide recommendations for interventions and accommodations
  • Develop behavior intervention plans when needed
  • Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with timelines

Required Qualifications

  • Master's degree or higher in School Psychology
  • Valid Michigan School Psychologist license/certification
  • Minimum of 2 years of school-based experience
  • Experience administering and interpreting standardized assessments
  • Proficiency with virtual assessment procedures
  • Knowledge of special education laws and regulations
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities
  • Experience with virtual service delivery preferred

  • Dedicated home office space with confidentiality safeguards
  • Reliable computer with webcam capability
  • High-speed internet connection (minimum 25 Mbps)
  • Familiarity with secure video conferencing platforms
