Job DescriptionWe are looking for an experienced Cyber Security Engineer to join our team in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. In this long-term contract role, you will play a critical part in safeguarding our organization's digital infrastructure by implementing robust security measures and addressing evolving cyber threats. Responsibilities:
• Design and implement advanced security protocols to protect sensitive organizational data.
• Identify and mitigate vulnerabilities across hardware, software, and applications.
• Perform regular security audits and penetration testing to evaluate system integrity.
• Actively monitor network activity for potential threats and maintain detailed security logs.
• Investigate and respond to cybersecurity incidents, ensuring timely resolution.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and maintain a comprehensive security strategy.
• Assess new applications for security compliance and vulnerabilities before deployment.
• Coordinate with managed service providers to ensure seamless security operations.
• Stay informed about emerging cybersecurity trends and technologies to continuously improve practices.• Minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity roles, with hands-on expertise in security tools and technologies.
• Strong knowledge of networking protocols, operating systems, and common cyberattack techniques.
• Experience deploying and managing security platforms such as Checkpoint and AWS technologies.
• Proficiency in configuring and monitoring cyber security tools, including SIEMs and vulnerability scanners.
• Skilled in scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, along with strong communication skills.
• Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, or similar are highly preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
