Summary

The 4K Lead Teacher/Site Director will provide a safe and nurturing environment for children that encourage their social, emotional, physical and cognitive development.

Hours: 40 hours/week
Status: Part Year
Location: Stoughton, Wisconsin

Duties

This person will plan and implement a developmentally appropriate curriculum for enrolled children living in low-income, at-risk environments. Will ensure the provision of quality, comprehensive child development services including education, health, nutrition, parent involvement, and necessary family support services and referrals; follow Head Start performance standards, Reach Dane policies and procedures, DCF Childcare Licensing requirements, Young Star and/or City of Madison (if applicable); maintain positive relationships with parents, children and coworkers and community partners. The person will provide supervision and performance feedback for reporting staff.

Requirements

  • Must possess a minimum AA degree in Early Childhood, and/or bachelor’s degree in early childhood education, or Elementary Education or related degree that includes 18 credits specifically related to ECE.
  • DPI certification in ECE or related DPI certification is required within one year of the start date with an educational plan thereafter
  • Must secure Registry certificate within 90 days of employment
