Responsibilities

JOB SUMMARY:
- Create and ensure a fun-filled, entertaining and exciting environment with the five Fs - Fast, Fun, Friendly, Fresh and Focused
- Handle Team Member and Guest concerns/dissatisfaction and disputes timely and professionally to the Team Member/Guest satisfaction, while maintaining financial responsibility
- Promote positive public relations and create an enjoyable atmosphere for all
- Inspect and ensure a clean, safe working environment. Notify appropriate departments to handle deficient situations
- Maintain a professional and positive relationship with vendors, Guests and co-workers
- Create a work environment that is safe, professional, friendly and conducive to a high level of morale, productivity and performance
- Maintain confidentiality of all Seminole Gaming’s trade secrets and proprietary information including business processes, customer lists, marketing plans and all other confidential information
- Exhibit conduct in accordance with all Gaming Commission Regulations and Seminole Tribe of Florida departmental policies and procedures
- Demonstrate a commitment to ensuring responsible gaming and responsible alcohol service by discreetly notifying appropriate management of concerns
- Ensure prompt and discreet notification to management and/or the Ethics Hotline (954-585-5103) of any observation of illegal acts or internal ethics violations
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Design, plan, implement and support training and guest service initiatives as well as recognition programs for the Seminole Casino Coconut Creek property
- Conduct training sessions for Seminole Casino Coconut Creek property programs, including, but not limited to Orientation, Guest Service, Supervisor/Manager Leadership training, etc.
- Present information using a variety of instructional techniques and formats such as role play, simulations, team exercises, experiential activities, group discussions, videos and lectures
- Develop teaching outlines and instructional methods for individual training, group instruction, demonstrations and workshops
- Organize, develop or obtain training collateral to accompany training programs (i.e. PowerPoint presentations, participant workbooks, assessments, job aids, etc.)
- Conduct needs assessment to determine training needs, i.e. focus groups, surveys and round-table discussions
- Secure feedback to measure progress and effectiveness of training
- Develop relationships with all levels of management to serve as a strategic business partner to operational departments
- Create and publish training calendar
- Maintain accurate training records and reports
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends and holidays is required
- Ability to function independently in a multi-task environment, as well as a part of a team
- Ability to deliver a service level which creates an atmosphere that makes our internal and external guests want to return, giving each guest a positive, memorable experience
- Ability to present an image of excitement, enthusiasm and outgoing personality, while being able to present a professional appearance
- Ability to develop and deliver programs which create a service level of excellence for all levels of management and team members
- Ability to tie training to the organization’s strategic goals
- Must possess excellent communication (oral and written), presentation and listening skills
- Must possess excellent attention to detail and be extremely organized. Need for confidentiality is required
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Basic mathematical skills specific to job responsibilities are required, to include the ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide, specific to position responsibilities.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; plus three (3) to five (5) years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, i.e. Excel, PowerPoint and Word
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an incumbent to successfully perform the duties and responsibilities of the position.
- Exposure to casino related environmental factors including but not limited to secondhand smoke, excessive noise, and stress related to servicing guests in a high pressure and fast paced environment.
- Must be able to stand for an entire shift and be able to continuously maneuver throughout the Casino areas.
- Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues.
- Must have the manual dexterity to operate a computer and other office equipment.
- Must be able to lift 30 pounds and able to bend, reach and stoop on a limited basis.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Constant exposure to casino related environmental factors including, but not limited to crowds, secondhand smoke, and excessive noise. Intermittent time in office consisting of environmental factors typical in an indoor, climate-controlled office environment.
EMPLOYMENT PREFERENCE:
The Tribal Council gives preference in all of its employment practices to Native Americans. First preference in hiring, training, promoting and in all other aspects of employment is given to members of the Seminole Tribe who meet the job requirements. Second preference is given to other members of federally recognized Native American Tribes who meet the job requirements.
