Your Role as a Special Education Teacher:

• IEP Development & Instruction - Design and implement IEPs, lesson plans, and instructional strategies to support individual student goals.
• Documentation & Reporting - Complete IEPs, progress reports, and evaluations accurately and on time.
• Collaboration & Communication - Partner with multidisciplinary teams, families, and staff to deliver tailored services and track student success.
• Classroom Management & Behavior Support - Foster a structured and supportive classroom environment using proactive behavior strategies.
• Assessment & Progress Monitoring - Conduct assessments and gather behavior data to drive instruction and supports.
• Safety & Compliance - Adhere to policies including confidentiality, PPE use, and assist students with self-care needs as appropriate.

Qualifications:

• Must hold an active PA teaching certification, such as:
• Private Academic Certificate, or Level I or II PA Instructional Special Education Certification K-12
• Candidates with a bachelor's degree and at least six credits in special education may qualify for a Temporary Private Academic Certificate.
• All teachers must have their PA license by August 1, 2025.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
