Summary

ABC LOL, LLC is seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Afterschool Teacher to join our team and provide a safe, fun, and engaging environment for children age 5-12. As an afterschool teacher, you will lead activities, and foster a positive learning atmosphere. The ideal candidate will be passionate about working with children, dependable, and creative. We are open everyday Afterschool from 2:45-5:30pm. We also are open on school closures, school breaks and summer vacations. This can be a full time position if desired. Duties

• Supervise and engage children in a variety of recreational and educational activities.
• ensure the safety and well-being of all children.
• Maintain a positive and supportive classroom environment.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and fellow staff members.
• Follow all health and safety guidelines as required.
• Work well as a team member
• Open communication with families

Requirements

• Must have a highschool diploma or GED
• Be able to pass a background check

Nice To Haves

• Experience working with children
• Flexible schedule
• As per center policy, all employees must complete a minimum of 50 hours professional development yearly, maintain current 1st aid and CPR certification, and complete the following training's:
• VT orientation training
• Mandated reporting
• Medication administration
• Basic specialized care
• ACT 1 - What is Child Sexual Abuse
• STRONG Trainings
• All guidelines and policies set in the staff handbook must also be followed, including being familiar with the Child Care Licensing Regulations set forth by the state of Vermont. All employees must be able to pass a background records check and fingerprint check.
